Elizabeth C. Kera, M.A., M.Phil.-Graduate Associate

Title: Ms. Kera is an advanced doctoral candidate in the Neuropsychology program at Queens College, CUNY Graduate Center and has been under the mentorship of Jeffrey M. Halperin, Ph.D. for the past 5 years.
Education & Training : She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology as an Honors Scholar at New York University, followed by a Master of Arts degree and a Master of Philosophy degree in Psychology from Queens College and the CUNY Graduate Center. Ms. Kera has had clinical externships at Winthrop University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center, and the Queens College Preschool Project. Her clinical experience is with a variety of psychological and neuropsychological disorders across the lifespan. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation at the Queens College Preschool Project focusing on ethnic variations in ADHD. In addition, she is also completing her pre-doctoral psychology internship training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center/Zucker Hillside Hospital during the 2005-2006 year.
Professional Accomplishments and Interests: Ms. Kera's research and clinical interests include the developmental course of ADHD across the lifespan, the role of cultural and ethnic factors in neuropsychological functioning, developmental neuropsychology, child psychopathology, and the treatment of developmental disorders. In 2005, she was the recipient of the New Jersey Neuropsychological Society Predoctoral Student Research Award, and has received several University Fellowships while at CUNY/Queens College. Ms. Kera has published in scientific journals on issues relating to neuropsychological functioning and AD/HD, as well as emotional processing. Some of her publications include:
