Olga Magidina, B.A.- Graduate Associate

Title: Ms. Magidina is a doctoral student in the Neuropsychology program at Queens College, CUNY Graduate Center and has been under the mentorship of Jeffrey M. Halperin, Ph.D. for the past 2 years.
Education: She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at Barnard College, Columbia University. Ms. Magidina's clinical experience includes a variety of psychological and neuropsychological disorders across the lifespan. She is currently working on her Master's project at the Queens College Developmental Neuropsychology Laboratory, which focuses on attentional processes in normal college level adults. In addition, she is completing an externship in neuropsychological assessment at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and pediatric psychotherapy externship at Schneider Children's Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Clinical and Research Interests: Ms. Magidina is interested in a variety of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders that affect people across the lifespan. She is also interested in the efficacy of cognitive remediation therapy in the alleviation of symptoms of such disorders. Of a particular interest to her is reliability and validity of assessment of cognitive functioning in bilingual and monolingual Russian-speaking population residing in the United States, which she is planning to address in her future research as well as clinical practice.
